Students participating in the Poetry Center's literacy through poetry program for the 2009-2010 academic year are assembled here, for the first time, in this comprehensive electronic collection of poetry.

Under the instruction and guidance of our talented and dedicated team of poets in residence, students composed poems throughout the school year, producing work at once deeply personal and culturally resonant. These are beautiful, heart wrenching, funny, and poignant poems, words that speak to and from the worlds they inhabit and the imaginations alive within.
