One Lawndale Voices

The poets from Latino Youth High School finished writing their poems for the One Lawndale Project. Each poet recorded their poems. Their voices and text will be displayed with other forms of visual art that will represent the Lawndale community. The students were excited to have their words and voices represent communities from across Chicago’s south and west sides. They hope their words, and the whole exhibit, can help bridge the divide with neighborhoods that share the same streets.
