Visual Poetry

The poets from Avondale/Logandale learned how poems not just meant to be read, and heard, but also to be viewed as visual art. The poets read poems that written in the shape of their subject. The poets were then asked to the shape. They used their shapes as inspiration for their words. The title of their poems are the shapes they drew. Enjoy!

Teardrop

Lisette A.

It was a sad day

When I heard my grandpa passed away

And I cried a lot

Because I love and miss him

Sunshine

Jaylen W.

The boy was outside

On a summer day

The sun was bright

Candles

Angela E.

A candle lights the dark room

Orange and yellow flames

Glowing

If you touch it

It burns you

Burning Flags

Silverstre S.

Battle ground light shining on the lifeless

Fighting for their life

Remember the fallen comrades

Trying the stay alive

Ad see their families

IT MUST STOP!

Music

David R.

I love music

It is calming

Like feeling free as a bird

It makes happy

To feel the music flow
