Who Am I?

If you could see the world through the eyes of an animal or inanimate object what animal or object would you choose? For this lesson the 3rd grade poets learned about persona. After reading “Death of a Snowman ” by Vernon Scanell, the poets were asked to write a poem through the eyes of an animal or object without mentioning that animal or object in the poem. Enjoy!
Ice
By Wendy
I’m cold and small
Sometimes I’m big
Probably something you use when you’re hurt
I’m freezing sometimes
Plants
Camor
I can grow
I need water
I need the Sun
I smell good
I am yellow
I grow in the garden
Bees come to me
The Heart
Alfie
I help you stay alive
Sometimes people give me as a present for Valentine’s Day
Everyone has one
I pump blood into the brain
