Revisions

Today, we spent some time revising poems that we had already written and were excited about. We had a poetry reading and the students did an amazing job!

Animals
Sherlyn

Cats are so cute and I relate to them
because I sometimes look like in a bad mood.
I relate to a pig because sometimes I eat
too much food.
I relate to a cheetah because whenever something
horrible happens I run as fast as I can.
I relate to a snake because I sneak in
some places for the good.
Mom
Roni
Mom. Her food from heaven.
Mom. As nice as a bird.
Mom. As forgetful as an old person.
Mom. As smart as a cat.
Mom. All I would need.
My Necklace
Genesis

When I touch the smooth start
on my necklace, I remember her
soft arms hugging me. And having
the warm smell of black tea in my
nose. And seeing you smile makes
me smile as well.
