Poetry on Repeat

For our second to last day of poetry camp at Mark Twain, Ms. Carther’s 3rd -5th grade poets read and watched “The Hill We Climb” by Amanda Gorman and studied her use of repetition. They were then able to practice using repetition in their own poems. Come hear from poets Juan and Noah.

Ms. Carther's 3rd - 5th Graders Poetry Camp at Mark Twain

I am Juan

I am smart.

I am brave.

I am technology.

I will be smart.

I will be brave.

I will be technology.

Because I will keep trying.

Because I will keep trying.

And together we are smart people in the world.

Playing Pac-man Noah

Pac-man, he’s like a black whole

Eating and eating and eating

He never stops.

Eating and eating and eating

The ghosts running so fast like a dog chasing them.

The dots getting ate by Pac-man as fast as you blink.

The maze feels like it goes on and on

But you’re running to get the last dot

and than Pac-man eats it.

You win!

But there are still a lot of levels.

Do you still want to play?
