A Scoop of Lime Noodle Ice Cream

Today’s weather called for a cold treat and lucky for us, I knew just the poem to cool us down. We began the day with a fun game of “Poet Says,” our twist on Simon Says. Then we jumped into a theater-filled moment with “Why Are You Late?” where students got to flex their imagination skills. After a fun drawing activity led by Ms. Maya, we read Bleezer’s Ice Cream by Jack Prelutsky. Students then wrote their own poems inventing lots of silly ice cream flavors. Then, we made little ice cream cones of our favorite flavors. See what we came up with below:
