Personification: “I just want true answers…”

This week we read a poem written to a star by a former CPC student. Then talked about personification as a way to approach larger than life ideas, emotions or concepts. We learned that if we can give them human attributes it can help us not feel so overwhelmed to talk about things like war, peace or even God. Students picked a larger than life idea and wrote their own pieces with some taking the form of a letter. Enjoy this weeks poet!

Thank you God for letting me see this beautiful life, but I have

a few questions.

Why do we have to suffer from the burning flames in Clissold?

I wonder if there is somebody who is feeling the same

way.

But I will say that you are a mighty God.

Why can’t I have a happy life?

I just want true answers.

Can you tell me?
