Monster Poems: “It smells like gummy tacos…”

Do you believe in monsters? This week we drew an exquisite corpse monster and then talked about things that lurk around the corner and go bump in the night. The monsters in these poems are a little less menacing however and resemble some of our favorite sweet things and celebrities. Enjoy this week’s poets!

My candy cane monster loves children and does not eat them

My monster looks like a candy cane

it was walking down the street with me

someone was coming so I stuffed it in my suitcase

Someone asked me what does it looks like

I said cotton candy

it smells like gummy tacos

it loves kids with all of her might

and my monsters name is Ms. Mayda
