Magic Words

What could happen if your words were magic? This week our 2nd and 3rd graders wrote about just that after reading Magic Words, and Inuit Poem by Nalungiaq.

Magic Words

Eva W.

3rd Grade

One of my magic words is demon

It’s for when I’m striking attack!

And another word is scorpion.

When I use this word I freeze time,

to make another world

The Storm of (M)agic

Neia H.

3rd Grade

Bippity, boppity, boop

I see you

And a maid will appear to be a DJ

so git yo booty on down

In the place to be.

Now listen!

Oh yea, oh yea, oh yea!

The storm of magic.

I Love Zendaya

Nina S.

3rd Grade

Zendaya,

because Zendaya is my ideal,

and she has long, long, hair

like Rapunzel

and I love it.

And she is beautiful.

Like, really, really, beautiful.

I wish that I was like her,

I want to be 20!

Taylor Swift

Harmony W.

3rd Grade

My magic word is Taylor Swift.

I would transform into Taylor Swift

with laser eyes,

and I could see if people

were telling the truth

or lying.
