Moos – Week 10

My second workshop with the University of Illinois Extension’s Master Gardener Insect Petting Zoo went just as good as the first one.  The younger kids reacted similarly, though actually less screaming than the older ones.  Another difference between the elementary kids and the high schoolers is that the Moos students kept asking – for weeks afterward – if I could bring other “gross” things to class, like “snakes and rats and stuff.”  No, kids, I do not have a private zoo of disturbing creatures, just these three…
