A Hat of Kisses: Strange Poems @ Darwin Elementary!

This week we discussed mistakes, and why they are great. You can’t try new things without mistakes! You can’t push yourself without making a mistake! And sometimes those mistakes make something beautiful that we didn’t even know we had in us.

This poem was inspired by a student who, when trying to write “A swarm of bees” accidentally wrote, “a swan of bees”–oops! But the cool thing is, our brains picture it anyway! What do you see?

We used this as a jumping off point to make strange things!
