Friday Freewrites! Part Two

If you’ve had a chance to read “Friday Freewrites! Part One” then you may remember that most recently, students at Swift Elementary School created poems on the topic of their choice, using as many or as few lines as they desired. Eight poems from that day were published last week, and here are eight more for your enjoyment!

My Blue Whale
Samantha F.

My blue whale is beautiful.
She is as pretty as the sea
We swim together every day
Dolphins are her friends and
she swims with them too
She sprouts the water out of
her like a blooming flower.

Freedom Saturday
Laila R.

On Saturday you jump
on your bed all day long
you eat all your Mom’s
pancakes and ice cream
you can sit down and be lazy

Youssef L.

My Fun Friday
No homework
I play toys and games
I eat chips too

Elizabeth
Jane I.

My friend Elizabeth
She plays a lot
also tickles me.
Friday she eats fries.
Mondays Elizabeth and I put tea in
our mugs.
Tuesdays we don’t finish the
tea gets spoiled!
Wednesdays our wet clothes dry.
Thursdays we thought about tickling
our disgusting pickle!
Saturdays we sing as many
songs as possible. The end of
Elizabeth days.

Tingle
Milo D.

Tingle has a green suit
he kicks hard in his boots
Tingle has a tingle tuner
he can come here way sooner
he gives it to the hero link
they celebrate and then he drinks

My favorite color is purple
Lacey V.

My favorite color is purple because
there are so many shades I feel like every
where I go there is purple. In my imagination
everything is purple. Sometimes I
feel like purple is a ghost watching and
following me. When the purple crayon
comes out of the box it seems to say draw
with me first. Then when I draw purple
brightens up my whole drawing. My world
is filled with purple and my body is filled
with it. So everywhere that I
go…purple will follow too. Also at school
I see purple every day. My purple eraser
fixes all of my mistakes. Sometimes purple
makes me feel warm and happy inside. Yay
for purple!!!
