Cutting Up!

For our final poem, we created cut- up poetry. We used found language and images to create new meaning.

Lesson Note: Creative Artist guru, Julia Cameron, says the part of us that creates art is about seven years old. And so, it is no surprise that, with scissors in hand, even the most serious student finds themselves oddly enjoying this activity. ‘Language shapes our experiences, ‘ visual artist, Adam Pendelton, told the NY Times in 2018, ‘or it gives new shape… to the things we experience.’
