“We Would Like to See”

For our 5th session together, I challenged Bret Harte 2nd graders to enjoy some out-of-the-box thinking, by joining unlikely things together. These are called “Swan of Bees” poems. Read on to find what fun ideas they came up with!

a puppy made of chocolate
a desk full of candy
a cloud that rains coins
a wooly mammoth made of paper
a desk full of money
a tree that gives you money if you are good
a desk full of kids
a bathtub made of chocolate
a dog smelling like cotton candy
a computer singing hip-hop
