The Grand Finale

It’s hard to believe we reached our final session together. This session was a relaxed journey into the future. Students spent our time together clipping magazines to create vision boards. The classroom was filled with collages from future chefs and personal trainers. I was lucky enough to be presented with a beautiful anthology of students’ poem from our time together. Thank you so much Kozminski 4th and 5th graders for a memorable time! Read some of our final poems below:

4th Grade

Darryl T.

Red likes to eat candy

Red lays on its bed

Red likes to see red jays

Red loves to drink strawberry lemonade

Red loves to put on its red shirt

Red loves to paint with red paint

Red loves his red shoes

Red loves hot dogs with barbecue sauce

Red loves to smell fresh red berries

  I calm myself in peace

Kai’El B.

I take a peek

In the galaxy

float in gravity

I got a brain

But then it rains

I see the stars

But it’s far

I see the moon

But it’s like a balloon

5th Grade

Feelings

Aryah P.

Anger is when you cut your

Hair on accident and get

Scolded.

Fear is snow when there’s a 100 percent

Chance you crash into a tree.

Disgust is when you see a dead animal on the side of the world.

Untitled

Ameerah T.

My hair is curl like noodles

My eyes are brown like brownies

My nails are pretty like fashion

My face is pretty like me

My fashion is drippy

My hands are soft like teddy bear
