Following a four-week residency with Poet in Residence Leslie Reese, ten 4th grade students from Shoesmith Elementary gathered at Call & Response Books to showcase their poetry to teachers, friends, and family.
As an award for their performance, each student received a gift card to the bookstore. Their cooperating teacher, Emma Lehner, also received a gift card to buy books for her classroom! 📚
