Rewind

As we near the end of our 20 weeks together I felt it important to review the lessons we had learned. The poets from Latino Youth High School we asked to identify line, lyric, and stanza. We discussed the use of similes, metaphors, and alliteration. We analyzed rhyme, meter, and extended metaphors. We finished our review with discussing the next project for the young poets’ final 5 weeks. Stay tuned for details on the exciting new interdisciplinary project that will feature poems by the Latino Youth High School poets.
