Reflection

The poets from West Park Fine Arts Academy were asked to time travel…sort of. They were asked to imagine being visited by their future selves from 10 years in the future. What would their future selves tell them? How do they imagine their lives in 10 years? What advice would they give themselves? Enjoy!

Damarion you might have to go through tragic moments. Maybe when you get older you will go on a airplane. Trust you gut when you feel like something is off don’t surround your self around it. Someday you probably get a girlfriend that you’re in love with. Follow your dreams and don’t let anyone interfere with your dreams and goals.

Your future self will get heart broken, be prepared. Your future self, misses you and is going through a hard time but has a lot of good memories. Your future self wants you to know that everything going to get better.

Hey don’t think about anything from the future. Just take care your mind to be prepared for what’s to come. But don’t worry not everything is bad. Things can be nice and fine sometimes. Just watch out and just trust yourself and don’t doubt. I promise everything will be fine. I got to go for the meantime take care and never forget to keep loving yourself.

It was night. I’m in my house. I hear something in the basement I go down stairs and I see something weird looks like something like a toy but big. It was shining I looked like a small ship. I was getting pulled to the ship somehow. The voice of the ship said “Press the green button”. I did. I was in my house but it looked different. I see myself playing, I was confused. The voice said “I am from the future.” And then the voice said “Never give up!”

Vianney T.

Be ready to grow up and be yourself. I expect for you to be a great student. Keep studying and believing in your dreams. Love yourself.

It’s 2017 and I’m searching. I see a chubby little girl with wild hair. I realize she was me. I told her “Don’t do it, as tempting as it may be”
