For our final day of Poetry Summer Camp at Mark Twain, Ms. Carther’s 3rd–5th grade class compiled their own poetry books featuring both their original work and poems by their classmates.
To close out our time together, we hosted a student showcase where our young poets shared their creativity by performing songs, displaying artwork inspired by their poems, and celebrating one another’s voices. The showcase was inspired by our poem of the day, “Let No One Steal Your Dreams” by Paul Cookson.
One of our featured poets and artists, Eli, reminded the class that, “We are all here to help each other’s dreams come true while we work to make our own dreams real.” It was a beautiful message and the perfect way to end our time together.
Check out the incredible work from some of our featured poets! ✨
