After analyzing Douglas Kearney’s poem “Of Agricultural Work” we discussed the ways poets can use visual elements within the sizing and placement of words to convey an impactful message. I created a single document full of words in various fonts and sizes, bold, italics etc. associated with general feelings around being at school. Students cut out and arranged them on a new page in their own ways, to demonstrate their feelings and thoughts about being in school.
