Music Memory Poems (Part 2)

Greetings Galileo poetry friends and followers! For the past 2 weeks, we have been working on poems related to memories of music. Here are a few more of our poems. Do theses poems remind you of your own memory of music?

Mrs. Van 4th Grade, Group 1

Stormy Stank Ezra P.

I was in the car
with my dad
listening to rock as I got mad
as I sank I stank
dipped
into
my
mind
standing by a storm

winds surrounded me
I could feel the rain
was so mad
made a hurricane

slashed winds
open earth
sunk and stank
out of my mind
ate up the world
in my mind

When I was listening to meme music Damien S.

When I was listening to meme music
with my pet cat
in my own room
it was an iphone alarm
it was a relaxing sound
I saw my cat dancing
I felt the wind breeze
I felt the carpet on my feet
I felt the headphones on my ears

Mrs. Van 4th Grade, Group 2

Music falls Sariya H.

I hear the loud bells,
When they fell
it was loud,
We saw the birds,
the piano played,
We swayed,
music stopped,
then we dropped.

JAZZY Grace C.

as I was on my bed
the radio played jazz
my fav

I put the music
on FULL VOLUME

while the music was blasting
I smelled
the sweet (but bitter)
coffee my dad was making
(he’s addicted to it)

I heard piano
trumpets,
drums

they went low, then high
loud, then quiet

I bit into my soft banana
while I swayed ’cause
I was following
the music

I swayed while
my brothers
danced

they moved to
the beat
they slowed down
then danced fast
following the JAZZY
music
