For our penultimate day of Sabin poetry camp, we started the day with some energetic games! We unknotted ourselves, for two rounds of the human knot game. Then we had a two-headed monster dance party (everyone partnered up, stood back to back, linked arms and moved like one being). Once we got some energy out, we read Tennessee by Nikki Giovanni. This is a poem that mentions lots of yummy food in the summertime, so we talked about our favorite seasons and favorite foods before getting into our group poem. Afterwards, Ms Musu led a nature scavenger hunt for us outside. We wrote another group poem and had fun with some sidewalk chalk drawings. Enjoy the group poem about food below!
We were still feeling inspired by food poems when we got outside, as you can see!
