I mean I can fly like a bird in the sky… This week students had a chance to listen to and read Nikki Giovanni’s Ego Trippin’ a a poem that celebrates her identity by using metaphor and exaggeration. We talked about how colors, places, animals and things in nature could help to describe our personalities and then students got to work. Enjoy this week’s poet!
