Last week, Howe students learned about odes. Ode poems honor the things we value, no matter how big or small they are. We brainstormed some of the things that deserve an ode before each student began theirs. Below is Brazil’s poem, which praises her fidget toy.
Ode to Fidgets

thing us
fidgets
because it
is fun to
play with
it is a pop it
it is like
a popit you
pop the circles
you just play
with it,
it makes
me have
fun. good to
me
