Haines Word Power

Last week Haines 4th grade after-school session was joined by Principal Moy! We talked about the power of words. Then each took a turn coming up with lines to create a first draft of a collaborative poem.

Words are a skyscraper towering up high
Words are rocks bumping on the ground
Words are clouds soaring through the sky

Words are like a rainbow forming in the sky
Words are powerful like kings and queens
Words are a skyscraper towering up high

Words are like the sunshine shining on the world
Words are like dogs flying in the sky
Words are a skyscraper towering up high
