Cutting Up

To wind up our lessons, we created cut up poems! We used found language and images to create new meaning.

Lesson Note: Creative Artist guru, Julia Cameron, says the part of us that creates art is about 7 years old.  And so, it is no surprise that, with scissors in hand, even the most serious student finds themselves oddly enjoying this activity. ‘Language shapes our experiences, ‘ visual artist, Adam Pendelton told the NY Times in 2018, ‘or it gives new shape… to the things we experience.’
