City City

The poets from Mrs. Thomas’s afterschool Poetry Battle wrote a collaborative poem about the good and bad of city life. In this exercise we discussed the structure of lines, lyrics, and stanzas. Enjoy!

City Life

All the trash in the city

All the discrimination, gangster, homeless people

All the nasty pigeons and pooping everywhere

global warming …..Polar Bears!

I like all the different places where people are from:  We are multicultural

I love the variety of food; deep dish pizza, Navy Pier

I love when there is so much snow and you realize you will tumble forward and sink!

There’s nothing like being at the Bean; all the memories;  summer and seasons….crazy people, ice skating and drinking hot chocolate
