Bret Harte 2nd Grade Wish Lists

On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, I met with 2nd graders at Bret Harte Elementary for the first time. They were so energetic and ready to share their creative brain power with me! We talked about wishing for things:  maybe toys to play with, foods to eat, or relatives we wish we could see.  But we also wished for magical things such as the ability to fly or being Batman!  Some students are already wishing to attend highly-respected universities! Enjoy this small  sample of fine “Wish Poems” that students wrote.
