A snowflake is like a feather/ Comparison Poems @ Moos

Last week, we had fun exploring comparison poems and similes! We shared some of our favorite lines from a round of comparison poems that used similes (comparisons using “like” or “as”) and talked about how two very different things can have something in common: “A butterfly is like a colorful rainbow” … “Thunder is like bowling”… “A person’s whisper is like a soft pillow.” Then, we worked together to write a comparison poem together as a group before taking time to write comparison poems on our own. Enjoy our published poems from week 3!

Each week there will be 3 poems from each class published to our Hands on Stanzas blog, and every student will have an opportunity to see their written work published on our blog in the weeks to come.

Scroll down to enjoy this week’s published poems!
