3rd Grade Rappers

Today we turned the 3rd grade poets into 3rd grade rappers! After listening to “Summertime” by Will Smith and “Amorforoda” by Bad Bunny we discussed their use of couplets. The poets were then asked to write their own rap songs by writing couplets about themselves. Like rappers, the poets had to write about their positive qualities. Enjoy!

Yo soy muy fuerte

Porque no tengo miedo a la muerte

(I’m so strong

Because I’m not afraid of death)

 

Ilias

I’m so kind

I can’t get you off my mind

I’m so fast

I like to laugh

I’m hyper

And my sisters name is Piper

 

Marina

I am cool

Even at the pool

I am smart

Even at the start

I am so clean

Cleaner than a bean

I am so kind

It is easy to find
