At the Poetry Center of Chicago our mission is to promote poetry. We do that through hosting free, public readings at venues across Chicago, through employing Poets as teaching artists, and by bringing poetry to Chicago Public Schools through our Hands On Stanzas program.

While our campaign is live you can donate here. Or, you can always donate through the button below. Please consider making a one time or recurring donation to the Poetry Center. Together we can give Chicago more poetry.

Volunteer

As a not-for-profit literary arts organization the Poetry Center depends on financial contributions from its patrons and supporters. These donations go a long way to ensure that we continue to uphold our long tradition of quality programming and our steadfast commitment to poetry in the community. Financial aid, however, is only one of the ways to help.

In addition, we also rely on the generous support of our volunteer base. From assisting at Reading Series events to help with mailings and community marketing, our volunteer team fulfills a vital role in the Poetry Center’s mission. Please take a moment to find out how you can help today!

Email beth@poetrycenter.org to receive upcoming volunteer opportunities at the Poetry Center of Chicago.
