In July, we officially closed the curtains on an amazing session of summer poetry camp for intermediate and middle schoolers!
At Twain Elementary and Sabin Elementary, students embraced their creativity by writing chalk poems, crafting cootie catcher poems, and holding daily open mics. In the process, they learned about various literary techniques, including simile, metaphor, and onomatopoeia. The young poets also enjoyed time outdoors, finding inspiration from their surroundings as well as making the most of the summer weather.
