Poetry at the Green

Poetry at the Green is an outdoor reading and open mic series. From June through August each year, this partnership with The Green at 320 brings poetry to a beautiful open air setting in downtown Chicago.

Join curators and hosts Timothy David Rey and Joy Young each Monday at 6pm for a featured reading and open mic. Check out CPC’s events page for the full list of event dates, and follow our Instagram for information about featured readers and weather-related cancellations.

About the Space

The Green at 320 is located at 320 S. Canal St. The main staired entrance to the park is on the corner of Clinton and Van Buren with an ADA-accessible ramp off of Clinton. The park is located one block north of the Clinton Blue Line.

CPC believes poetry should be enjoyed by all. The park is ADA compliant and features smooth, level pathways, accessible seating areas, and barrier-free entry points to ensure ease of navigation for individuals using wheelchairs, mobility devices, or strollers. ASL Interpretation and other accommodations may be provided upon request. Please send any accommodations requests or questions to timothy@poetrycenter.org.
