There is so much
To choose from
The genres, they’re
Great.
It’s a great topic
for conversation.
Whether you’re writing

or something else.
There’s so much to
talk about.
It doesn’t
compare to anything.
It’s not as limited as a movie
It’s not as boring as a blank wall
It’s not as annoying as homework
If I met it, I would praise it

They’re basketball
they are the reason
I play basketball
All the time
Sometimes they’re no air
Othertimes there is
maybe the texture has come off
But it is still just a basketball
It’s different from the others
like soccerballs and footballs
But nothing will beat a basketball
though the others won’t ever be orange
Sometimes I give it commands
like to go into a hoop
or maybe to not bounce out
So an ode to the basketballs
all in the world
My dad has red hair like a leprechaun
he is tall like an elephant
he is allergic to cats like how milk
messes with cat’s stomachs
I think when it comes to some food, he
is kinda like Gordon Ramsey
but his soup is like pickles,
I don’t like them
he teaches me how to fight like a
boxer
he can be as lazy as a very old cat
and can be as sleepy as a koala
he is as old as
dinos
he eats meat like
T-rexes
he fails skateboard tricks almost
as much as my little sister
