Who am I?

In poetry when we write through the point of view or perspective of another character as if it was our own this is known persona. After reading “Death of Snowman” by Vernon Scannell we discussed the use of persona to describe the point of view of snowman as he approaches summer. The poets were asked to then write through the point of view of something not human. Enjoy!

Plants by Ilias

I am this green stuff
With fresh water I get filled up
And it helps me grow

Dinosaurs by Angelou

I lived far far away
All that’s left are my bones
Because of tragedy that caused me to be extinct

Flowers by Camor

I can grow
I need water
I need sun
I need space
I smell good!
I am yellow
I grow in a garden
Bees come to me
