West Park Hauntings part 1

The Poets from Miss Chambers seventh grade class at Westpark Fine Arts Academy took a lesson in horror. No, they were not horrified by the lesson, the lesson was about poems that are scary. We read “The Cremation of Sam McGee” by Robert service and “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe. We discussed the elements of each poem that drew us in suspense and made us scared. We discussed story structure like characters, setting, and plot and how all of these are important in striking fear in your readers. Stay tuned for the hauntings of West Park.
