The Performance of the Poem

As the end of our twenty weeks together near the end I felt it was a proper time to focus on how to deliver their lyrics. We started the day by warming up their voices and bodies with some standard theater games. Then each poet chose their favorite poems and took turns delivering their poems to the class. We discussed ways to strengthen their performance with emotion, inflection, and volume.
