Stretch your imagination like…

For our 4th sessions, we looked at comparison poems created by Swift 2nd graders from previous years, and discussed what it means to find similarities between two different things. We had fun comparing things by shape, size, color, texture, and feeling, before I offered a few prompts to get students going. It was fun watching their foreheads crinkle like wrinkled sheets of paper as they came up with their own comparisons.
