Shoes Poem

This week, students at Poe Middle School in Ms. Agboola’s class thought about their favorite shoes to help them write a new poem. Here’s what they created.

The Shoes I Choose Eric S.

Oh boy oh boy,

The shoes I choose,

The shoes I choose,

Just to look cool,

the shoes I want,

are white and blue,

the shoes I want,

are very cool,

If you see my cool shoes,

you will want them too.

Shoes I wear Jordan B.

I wear a relative’s shoes to get groceries

out of the trunk. Maybe sandals, heels,

slides, and or dunks. I feel great but

don’t look so good, but it all ends

as right as it should.

All of those shoes Dylan C.

I love shoes,

shoes shoes shoes.

Basketball shoes.

I got my Giannises.

I got my LeBron’s.

Shoes are so cool.

I like my shoes

But there are better shoes

My brother’s shoes.

His shoes so cool.

Like when we play pool

Shoes Briella C.

I see a pair of shoes.

The brand is Under Armor.

But the size is too big for me.

I found another pair

but they’re too small, I found

another pair perfect for me.

When I put them on

I feel like a superhero,

like a football player.

Flash Shoes Anthony P.

I want a pair of shoes

shoes that will help me run fast

just like the flash

I went to a shoe store

I found a pair of shoes with yellow and red

just like the flash

I try the shoes on

and I start running fast

just like the flash
