Rhyme: I Feel Free

Week 4 at Dever was a week to focus on Rhyme. Students wrote pieces about what freedom means to them and used rhyme as their featured poetic device. We learned about rhyme as corresponding sounds.

Freedom doesn’t make me frown
Freedom makes me feel like I’m wearing a crown
Freedom is amazing its like a treat
It’s so really sweet
Freedom makes me feel like a star
Feels like I’m going really far
It doesn’t make me trip
No it doesn’t make me flip

Sports give me good vibes
So crazy it shakes my insides
Freedom doesn’t make me red
It makes me feel good in my head

No it doesn’t make me frown
No it doesn’t bring me down
Freedom really pays
So many things to do in so many ways
Video games makes me escape reality
thats how video games make me be
freedom fills my heard
if it had a taste it would take good like a pop-tart

Untitled Janessa R.

I feel free while driving to town
Sun rays in my face
Im starting to frown
driving to town

Freedom looks like
Driving in my car
It’s pretty bizarre
I now have a scar
A drive in my car

Freedom feels like
Running the bases
“Safe”
Don’t know what the case is
Running the bases

When I am free I am…
Bike riding with my friends
eating pizza
gonna set new trends
bike riding with my friends
