Revision Party

We had an excellent time today revising! We’ve been working so hard on our poems and it was a great opportunity to look through the poems we’ve written and think about which ones we loved the most and what we loved about them. Each student chose a poem they loved and set a goal for their revision.

Adam did a revision of a poem about his mom, inspired by Naomi Shihab Nye’s “Red Brocade.” He worked on making the examples of how he will help his mom more specific, especially in the section about breakfast!

Helping and Being Kind Adam

My Mom is the Best. I give cards
to my
mom about her.
I will make
her breakfast some
times. I will make crunchy toast
how she likes it.
I help people sometimes.
I like when we feel happy.
