“Our Ideas of a World”

We want to live in a world
that does not feel like a nightmare
we want to feel the joy of playing
soccer in the park running so fast
we sweat and breathe hard
the smell of nature filling up our nose

We want to feel the colors of peace
and the smell of a rose

The sweet smell of peace

does peace feel fuzzy?

What about the smell of
a cozy cottage?
creamy hot cocoa on the stove
blankets of puff, pandas, pets,
praise and prose

We want to feel the colors of peace

I have the right to learn.
I have the right to be heard.
A world of peace.
A world of love.
A world of unicorns and
butterflies
that’s magic.
I have the right to be a child.

I want to live in a world of candy
and no pollution and things that make pollution like
factory smoke gray and foggy

And one day every month there is a festival
of jokes and you will have an amazing time
you won’t want it to end
and everything is made out of rubber
so you don’t get hurt
a bouncy house for your family because who wants
a bad world?

I want to live in a poem world because
poems are good for you
poems are good for you because
poems make me happy
and you can show your
mom your poems and
give you peace.

A world of cereal
where you crunch
where you eat
where you sleep
where you keep
where you run where you go deep

I want a world of nature
all the colors
all the nature
soft and hard
big and small

I want a world of nature
nature shaped like
animals
nature
over there
and over here.

I want a world of nature
all the colors in the
rainbow
all the nature
in the world.

A world of sarcasm
A world of kindness
A world of sports
A world of birds
A world of mom and dad
A world of love.

I want to live in a cartoon world
of good Chinese street food, crunchy and saucy
run free,
no cars,
China culture and no war.

I want to live in a world
of fun candy trees
with purple buzzing bees
harmless as a fly.

I want to live in a world
of cotton candy clouds
flying high in the sky.

I want to live in a world
with a candy cane sun
but in all the worlds I want
there is one rule
have fun!

I wish the world
would be made
out of happiness.

and love.

the world should be
full of braveness in children
that we give children
love and kindness
and just believe in your
self.

I want a world with stories
and different languages.

children shouting out loud
or singing a song
I want a world with a cloud full of
dry fluffy pillows with rainbows

and imagination and stories

songs being sung
I want a world of life in the water
also in land and in the sky
above Hawaii.

where people pick
up dog poop,

where no mosquitos
can bite

where people can be
focused when people
are working.

I imagine a world with

I will make a rule of no smoking
Everyone will feel
energetic.

as walking sticks.

I would like to live in a world
that has all that you dream of

like a shirt that’s white
