My Community

Fourth and fifth graders in the after-school program wrote poems about their community. Here’s what they wrote.

My Community Alexis G.

My community

is my brother. My

brother helps me.

Community feels

like the sky.

Cats community

Cats need tools. They

play with feathers. And

they need worms.

And cats need food.

They eat cat food.

And cats need air.

And cats need to stay warm.

Community Janila A.

Community is a

place where people

can create and make

change that’s a

community.
