Lines and Stanzas with Dulles

In our first week with Dulles, we learned about lines and stanzas in poetry. We read Alice Walker’s “How Poems Are Made” and wrote poetry to express our feelings. Then on Thursday, we read May Carolyn Davis’ poem “Portrait of a House.” We talked about stanzas being used as rooms for a poem, and put that to use in describing our homes and schools. So what I like about basketball

Is when I’m playing and the ball go in the net
