I am Poems

We read Nikki Giovanni’s Ego Trippin’ this week, and used it as inspiration to talk about ourselves, using metaphors and comparison to celebrate all the facets of who we are.

I'm so Toxic Joseph C.

I am hot as the summer

the color purple will

let people know I’m royalty.

I am the air in your lungs,

I attract love like Paris.

But I’m so toxic I’m worse than

ebola, I will make you sicker than

the plague. I am free like a bird

Nothing can hold me back.
