Mrs. Nazimek 7th Grade

Group Poem Isabella, Dylan, Marisa, Yuria, Platon

recited together

There are five people at a table
Each have their own personalities,
Everyone has their enjoyment or their hobbies
So listen to each person’s realities.

Group Poem: Two Sides Miguel M., Thomas S., Karla P., Isaiah C.

recited by one person

I like Michael Myers
and I like Through the Wire,
I also like chicken
that is finger lickin’,
I like to play video games
but i’m trying to get that gain,
and I really like that it takes away my pain.

No one is gonna judge me because I’m a pro fighter,
I pull all nighters because I’m a good writer.

Group Poem: She/He Maria G., Romero P., Melanie S., Marco G., Sergio M., Brazile P.

Melanie
On school nights she goes to bed early,
on weekends she goes to bed late.

Maria
In school she doesn’t have her phone,
but at home she does.

Marco
At home he can wear whatever he wants,
and at school he has to wear a uniform.

Sergio
At school he doesn’t behave,
but at home he does.

Brazile
At school she’s a different person
than the person she is at home.

Group Poem: Different Sides Kylah S., Jose T., Carlos C., Fabian R.

recited by one person

One side you see
fancy places, people of wealth, and power.

On the other side
you see people breaking down, violence that can’t be stopped,
broken buildings, on this wealthy side you see people walking in a rush.

These different stories.

These are the different stories.
These are different sides.

Group Poem Odellan, Edgar, Kimberly, Axel, Alex D.

recited by one person

Two different versions of myself
at home and school
like cats and dogs.

Around friends, I put on a front,
It’s a dangerous game, but I’ll do the stunt.

Around family, I can be myself,
But with friends it’s bad for my health.

My skills are insane
but I can’t complain.
All sports are just a game.
Though hockey and basketball
aren’t the same,
playing doesn’t change my game

Group Poem Maira De J., Esdras, Diego, Itati, Zachariah

recited together

Me the two faced zebra,
sometimes the ending stripe is
black or it’s white, one side of me
is silly saying stuff like:
“You silly billy”, different sides
get mad and hide.

Black with my parents, white
with my friends, making noises
that bring me joy but annoy my friends,
with friends that don’t end,
sometimes happy, sometimes crying.
