Friendship Recipes

What are some qualities you find in a friend? If you could create a recipe for friendship, what would it look like? After reading “How to Make a Friend” by Lacey Van Lear, the 5th grade poets created their own recipes on friendship. Check out the chefs, I mean poets, recipes. Enjoy!

5th Grade

Things I Want in a Friend by Jazzy

To make my friend you will need
2 gallons of trust
Then you will need a half teaspoon of loving music
15 cups of fun
30 gallons of brave
Simmer for a week on the stove

Recipe for a Friend by Mei

2 gallons of inside voices
A pinch of “don’t be bad”
A cup of be safe
A teaspoon of be nice
A pound of be good
A mix of be kind
Bake it for 350 degrees for 2 months

Recipe for Friendship by Lia

First, add two teaspoons of calmness
Then, add four cups of prettiness
Mix them together then add 3 gallons of style
Make sure to add a pound of baking
Add 20 ounces of music
Mix with loyalty
