First: get pencils, papers, and erasers
from your supply caddy
get help with a pot for pouring
an ocean’s worth of ideas
with fire, feathers, and air.
sprinkle some sadness or happiness
maybe some anger, even anxiety
bring to a boil with oil
make some chimes and rhymes

Season with
some imagery,
comparisons, wishes,
and clouds.
pour into
rocket ship bowls
to eat like soup
or cereal.
