Collaborative Poetry

Students each contributed a line to write a poem together. Here’s what they created.

Mrs. O'Claire third grade

Closing Time

Goodbye school year,

See every body soon

Have a good summer break

I love summer break so much

hot and sunny

the cool water in the pool

fun in the sun

summer break is the best

summer break is the best because we can play

summer break is the best because we get to relax

summer break is the best because you can sleep past 12

summer break gets fun also you can go to the beach and swim

summer is nice and hot and can go biking

Summertime

Hello, summer time,

I like summertime

like going to the pool

I like summer time

I can stay up

Summer like hotness as the sun

I like summer because

it is fun and it is hot

Mrs. Sanez and Ms. Sauer third grade

Closing Time

I go home and go outside.

I see birds and hello summer.

I walk to the car and drive away from school.

I go to school and to the park.

I go to restaurants and to my grandma’s.

I go to my cousin’s house and sleep over.

I go home and to sleep.

Summertime

Hello, summer time

En la lluvia las flores

Flowers bloom high in the sky

The flowers are blue in summer

Que las flores estan amarillas

The flowers are purple

En las flores veranos

En verano hay lluvia para las flores

Cuando es la primavera hay flores

And they grow in the summer

Las flores son rojas

The flowers need sun and water

The flowers are blue sky
